Project Description

Background:

Miami-Dade County Public Schools (MDCPS) is the fourth largest school district in the United States, comprised of 392 schools, 345,000 students and over 40,000 employees. Located at the southern end of the Florida peninsula, the school district stretches over 2,000 square miles of diverse and vibrant communities ranging from rural and suburban to urban cities and municipalities. A truly global community, district students speak 56 different languages and represent 160 countries.

Problem:

Due to the massive size of MDCPS school district, internal resources are not sufficient to guarantee the maintenance for the 15,000 + cameras installed throughout the district. Cameras are considered a safety to life component in regards to student and teacher safety.

Solution:

ATCi has been a key partner and resource for MDCPS. We work hand in hand with with the in-house responders who are tasked with maintaining the entire district’s CCTV deployment. ATCi has a full service fleet and internal service coordination staff that works as a liason for any system thatrequires repair and our personnel have developed a close relationship with MDCPS staff at all levels of the organization.
